Biography
Erika Sykes is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in journalism with a minor in law, justice, and society. She has a strong interest in broadcast journalism and multimedia storytelling. On campus, Sykes has been a part of the crew for Texas News Channel and Good Morning Texas. She is also a member of Texas Baseball Diamonds through which she volunteers for RBI Austin and avidly cheers on the Texas Longhorns baseball team. Sykes has interned for her hometown city government and school district's communications department. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in broadcast journalism focused on politics and government.
