Biography
Matthew Gardea is a junior at The University of Texas at El Paso majoring in philosophy with a minor in Spanish. His passion for public service has motivated him to become Horizon City's youngest planning and zoning commissioner, where he served as vice chairman. As a UT El Paso Terry Scholar, Gardea served as vice president for the Terry Scholar student organization. He plans to attend law school to devote himself to breaking barriers in the criminal justice system and tackling infrastructure insecurities in low-income communities.
