Taren “Gigs” Hodges is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in urban education through the Urban Teachers Program and pursuing a certificate in public policy from the Bridging Disciplines Programs. After her experience student teaching in Texas Title I schools, Hodges was inspired to address inequities in education through policy work. After graduation, she plans to begin her career advocating for students and teachers through policy.
