Yvonne Gyimah is a senior at The University of Texas at Arlington majoring in public health with a minor in communications. On campus, Gyimah served three consecutive years as a president of Advancement of Females in Medicine, a chairwoman of academic affairs and special affairs in Student Government, and treasurer of Honors College Council. Off campus, Gyimah interned at the Commissioner's Office, Precinct 2, in Tarrant County. In her free time, Gyimah runs her Christian small business called ELCollections to promote "fashion ministry,” where fifty percent of her business profits are used to support her upcoming water sustainability project in Ghana, West Africa. After graduation, she plans to attend law school, build a startup business, and establish a philanthropic foundation for marginalized communities in Ghana.
