Aaiyma Ghufran is a senior at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in psychology with a minor in political science. She is interested in immigration law, environmental policy reform, and other niches of law and policymaking. On campus, Ghufran served as a mentor for the Freshman Mentor Program and the John Marshall Pre-Law Society. She was also an active member of Women Pursuing Law, Model United Nations, and multiple Muslim student organizations. Off campus, Ghufran launched her tutoring business during COVID-19 to provide students with educational resources in math, English, and college prep otherwise impacted by the pandemic. She has also interned with the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County as a family advocacy caseworker, the Collin County Law Group as a legal intern, and completed a position with Engage Workspace for Lawyers as a front desk coordinator. After graduation, Ghufran plans to be the first in her family to attend law school and intends to represent underserved populations within the realm of immigration law.
