Catherina Chowdhury is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in international relations and global studies with a minor in business and certificates in business Spanish and elements of computing. Chowdhury is passionate about amplifying diverse voices and maintains a wide range of interests in journalism, research, child welfare, and cross-cultural communication. On campus, she has served on the Liberal Arts Council, consulted at the University Writing Center, led a freshman seminar course, and been involved with several campus publications. Off campus, she has interned for two political campaigns and has been an avid volunteer in her community. Last fall, she studied at the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain, where she got the opportunity to improve her Spanish and pick up a little Catalan. Upon graduation, Chowdhury plans to pursue a career in multimedia journalism.
