Biography

Graisa White is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in government with minors in business and public policy and law, justice, and society. As a pre-law student, White has developed an interest in constitutional jurisprudence and governmental actors' obligation to the rule of law. To further these interests, she has been engaged with the university's chapter of Phi Delta Phi, a legal honor society, and has served on the student conduct board in the Office of the Dean of Students, where she helps advance due process in the university setting. On campus, White is affiliated with Texas Young Life, and she has furthered her passion for writing by serving as a consultant in the University Writing Center. Off campus, White is a member of the Pink Granite Foundation's mentorship program. The Foundation serves to connect women working in and around the Texas State Legislature and provide them with a supportive community as they further their respective careers. White recently concluded an internship with Blackridge Government Affairs, where she worked alongside the firm's lobbyists to research and pursue various policy goals throughout the 88th Legislative Session. Upon graduation, she plans to further her education by pursuing a graduate degree in legal studies or attending law school.
