Biography

Jasmine Kaur is a senior at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in political science. She spent her early childhood growing up near Toronto, Canada, before moving to Texas. Kaur recently studied abroad in Greece and Northern Macedonia to study nationalism and its effect on the physical landscape, how politics has redrawn maps to provoke conflict, and how tolerance and diversity has connected the southern Balkans. On campus, she is an active member of Model United Nations, Sikh Student Association, and Bujo (Bullet Journaling) Buddies. She is also a committee member at the Sikh Temple of North Texas, interned with the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, and worked full-time at Starbucks. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a job in cybersecurity policymaking or project management.
