Mackenzie Muecke is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in corporate communications. On campus, she served as the chaplain of her sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha, social media coordinator for the Texas Business Law Administration, and is a member of Phi Gamma Nu Business Fraternity. As a sophomore, Muecke worked as a student communications assistant for the Vice President for Student Affairs. Off campus, she joined U.S. Representative Michael McCaul (TX-10)'s midterm election campaign, which led her to work as the press intern for Texas Governor Greg Abbott during the 88th Legislative Session. She was recently selected as a student intern for Vinson & Elkins LLP in Houston, where she worked to understand the aspects of the corporate legal field, specifically pertaining to the energy and business development sectors. After graduation, she aspires to attend law school, work in corporate law, and eventually go back into politics and press.
