Manuel Guzmán is a senior at The University of Texas at El Paso double majoring in political science and Chicano studies with a minor in biology. On campus, he has served as senator-at-large for the Student Government Association, president of Texas Rising, vice president of Chicano Pre-Law Society, vice president of El Paso College Democrats, and was an undergraduate research assistant for the Department of Political Science and Public Administration. Off campus, Manuel was a Frontera Fellow and intern for U.S. Representative Veronica Escobar (TX-16) and interned for the Honorable Judge William Moody of the 34th Judicial District. In his spare time, Guzmán teaches civics and English courses for people obtaining their citizenship in El Paso, TX, and Las Cruces, NM. Upon graduation, he plans to attend law school and become an immigration attorney for migrants at the border.
