Biography

Matthew Willis is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin majoring in international relations and global studies, government, economics, and Asian studies. On campus, he was a research assistant at the Global Disinformation Lab, research fellow for the Global Macro Team, and digital humanities intern for JapanLab. He was also a dais staffer for Central Texas Model United Nations. Alongside these roles, Willis interned at the U.S.-Japan Council, Texas State Capitol, and Our National Conversation. After graduation, he plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career focused on international economics research, national security policy, and U.S.-Japan and U.S.-China relations.
