Biography

Samyuktha Senthil Kumar is a senior National Merit Scholar and Collegium V Honors student at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in neuroscience with a minor in public health. On campus, she served as vice president of the American Medical Women's Association and captain of the UTD Laksh, a nationally ranked dance team. As an undergraduate researcher, she analyzed chronic pain pathways related to diabetic neuropathy for the Center for Advanced Pain Studies. Senthil Kumar has worked as a COVID-19 administrative assistant, acted as Leadership Team Chair for the LLS - DFW area, and spearheaded a preventive heart health social outreach initiative. She is passionate about rectifying healthcare inequities for underserved communities at an institutional level. After graduation, she hopes to earn an MD/MPH dual degree and pursue a career in medicine and health policy.
