Biography

Anshul Gulati is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in computer science with a minor in Asian American studies. His interests center on technology policy, particularly artificial intelligence, data privacy, and emerging technologies. As a firmware engineering intern with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (AMD), Gulati worked on confidential computer systems in data centers, AI deployments, and cloud computer security. He has also conducted legal research on patent infringement cases, analyzing judicial reasoning as applied to software applications. On campus, he served as co-president of Freetail Hackers and organized HackTX, one of the largest free collegiate hackathons in the country, with 1,200 attendees. He also taught debate at the Texas Debate Collective, where he instructed high school students in policymaking and philosophy. After graduation, Gulati hopes to attend law school and pursue a career in technology regulation and public policy.
