Ashley Worley is a senior in The University of Texas at Tyler’s Honors College, majoring in mass communications with a minor in digital storytelling and interactive design. Her passion for multimedia storytelling has led her to create a range of projects, including short films, fiction novels, poetry, video game samples, and journalistic articles. Worley worked for two years as a producer and co-host of UT Tyler’s community service podcast, Ask Dr. Ross, and co-presented at the inaugural HigherEd Podcasting Conference at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Worley is the founding president of Patriot Podcasters, a club that connects, supports, and makes production skills accessible to campus media producers. Her research on the neurological impact of a narrative’s medium, The Science of Sight and Sound in Storytelling, was recently published in UT Tyler’s Multimodal Exchange. After graduation, Worley hopes to become a professional writer and filmmaker, creating projects that entertain and serve the public.
