Ayaan Rajiv Nair is a student at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, majoring in political science with a minor in legal studies. A Dean’s List student, Nair has demonstrated a strong commitment to civic engagement and public service throughout his academic career. On campus, he has been actively involved with the UTRGV College Democrats, where he has worked to increase voter turnout through registration drives and by organizing opportunities for students to engage directly with political candidates and elected officials. He has also gained valuable experience as a student assistant in UTRGV’s Office of Governmental Relations. As an intern in the district offices of U.S. Representative Vicente Gonzalez (HD-15) and Armando “Mando” Martinez (HD-39), he has contributed to constituent services and deepened his understanding of legislative processes. His policy interests include housing, public transportation, energy, and education.
