Biography

Diego Triana Betancourt is a senior at The University of Texas at El Paso, majoring in management with a minor in marketing. He has gained significant experience in campus leadership, sports operations, and marketing. On campus, he served as founder and president of the Sports Management Association, senate majority leader and College of Business representative for the Student Government Association, and orientation leader. Off campus, he worked as a marketing intern with the Sun Bowl Association and as a stadium operations and community relations intern with professional sports organizations in El Paso. Triana Betancourt also participated in national sports-business conferences and was selected for the Dodson Research Program, where he conducted research on trust in AI-generated financial and medical advice in cross-border communities and developed strong skills in leadership, data analysis, marketing strategy, and multilingual communication. After graduation, he hopes to pursue a career in sports business.
