Doriant Zuniga is a senior Liberal Arts Honors student at The University of Texas at El Paso, double-majoring in political science and philosophy. On campus, Zuniga proudly served as an ethics and political science tutor for multiple semesters. Zuniga later became a social psychology research assistant, examining the social-cognitive processes underlying person and group perception and how they contribute to prejudice and stereotyping. After receiving the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship, Zuniga studied abroad in summer 2025 at Sophia University in Tokyo and the following summer in Edinburgh, Scotland. Zuniga now serves as a study abroad ambassador for the University, helping students apply for internationally competitive scholarships. After graduation, Zuniga plans to conduct research through the Fulbright Program and then attend law school to pursue a career in law and advocacy.
