Gladys Garcia is a junior at The University of Texas at El Paso, majoring in communication with a minor in political science. On campus, she served as an undergraduate research assistant in aerospace communications, researching communication strategies across aerospace and engineering disciplines and supporting interdisciplinary communication initiatives. Garcia also contributed to immigration-focused media research through Latino Art Now! at the Institute for Research on Latino Public Policy, analyzing films and other visual media that explore immigrant experiences in the United States. As a Hoover House Ambassador, Garcia supported outreach and student engagement initiatives. Garcia is a proud Texas Leader Scholar and leadership scholarship recipient, passionate about civic engagement, public service, and educational advocacy. As a bilingual student committed to supporting underserved communities, Garcia plans to pursue opportunities in public policy and law.
