Biography

Isabel Yang is a senior triple-majoring in chemistry, history, and government at The University of Texas at Austin. She was a Texas4000 for Cancer cyclist, a Normandy Scholar, and a Clements Center Defense Technology Fellow. On campus, Yang served as a copy editor for The Daily Texan and conducted research with Dell Medical School's Widen Pediatric Lab. Her professional experience spans policy and scientific research, including roles as a health policy intern at the Texas Public Policy Foundation in Austin and as a toxicology research assistant at the Chinese Institute of Environmental Health and Related Product Safety in Beijing. She has also served as a camp counselor at Pine Cove City. After graduation, Yang plans to pursue a medical degree while working in public policy to advocate for children in foster care and support suicide-prevention efforts.
