Montserrat Rocha is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in government with a certificate in business Spanish. She served as a legislative intern for State Senator Judith Zaffirini (SD-21) during the 89th Texas Legislative Session. Following the session, Rocha worked as a legal assistant for Attorney Adriana Arce-Flores in federal court and with Blackburn Betts, PLLC in state court, supporting federal and state-level criminal defense cases. On campus, Rocha is the founder of Women in Nation-Building, a student organization that connects women interested in careers in public policy and elected office. Through mentorship, resources, and engagement with political candidates, the organization equips young women with the tools and guidance to pursue careers in public service. Driven by her commitment to public service and community impact, Rocha plans to run for office to serve her hometown of Laredo, Texas.
