Biography

Moyu Yumoto is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin, triple-majoring in history, international relations and global studies, and government. On campus, she is an undergraduate fellow at the Clements Center for National Security and a research associate with the Data4Defense project, where she analyzes defense industrial policy. She has served on the executive boards of the International Affairs Society and the Liberal Arts Council, as well as the leadership board of the Japanese Association on campus. Yumoto is passionate about the U.S.-Japan alliance, particularly Japanese foreign and defense policy. This past summer, she was selected by the Clements Center for a study abroad program in South Korea, where she engaged with scholars and practitioners on the U.S.-ROK-Japan alliance. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a career in policy research focused on Japanese foreign policy.
