Richard Isaiah Lujan is a junior at The University of Texas at San Antonio, majoring in cybersecurity with a concentration in cyber policy and strategy planning, and a certificate in legal studies. Lujan is interested in policy addressing emerging technology threats to national security. On campus, he has served as a USAA Ascent Scholar, a contributor to The Paisano, and an officer of the Legal Advocacy Association. He has also worked at UT San Antonio Academic Support as an American politics tutor. Off campus, he interned in the Bexar County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, in the Division of Public Integrity and Cybercrime, assisting prosecutors with evidence analysis and casework. Lujan was awarded the College of Cyber, AI & Computing's first-ever University Life Outstanding Undergraduate Award. After graduation, he plans to pursue a joint M.D./J.D. degree and a career at the intersection of cyber and national security.
