Biography

Riley McCain is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Plan II Honors and government with a minor in Spanish, and a certificate in food and society. At UT, he works as an OnRamps government course grader, serves as president of the Plan II Students’ Association, and sits on both the Student Conduct Board and the Election Supervisory Board. Off campus, he judges National History Day competitions and teaches English as a Second Language to Spanish-speaking children in Austin ISD. McCain has previously interned with the Texas Department of Agriculture, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and, most recently, the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Following graduation, he plans to pursue graduate studies and continue working in public service to support communities across the country.
