Shaarvi Vancha is a junior at The University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in political science with honors. On campus, she competed as an attorney and a witness on the UTD Mock Trial team, where she learned to argue persuasively from either side of a case. She also served on the Model United Nations team and the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences Dean's Council Events Committee, helping coordinate the Faculty Roundtable and the school's end-of-year award ceremony. Off campus, she interned at Thiele Law Firm, conducting legal research and drafting legal documents spanning business immigration, corporate law, wills and trusts, and wrongful termination. Vancha is passionate about the separation of powers and how a well-functioning system of checks and balances allows each branch to serve its purpose. She is equally invested in advancing women's rights and hopes to attend law school and build a career in government and advocacy.
