Sumedha Srilakshmidaran is a junior at The University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in computer information systems & technology with a minor in political science. She previously served as a campaign intern for Tony Box’s Attorney General campaign, where she conducted policy research on consumer protection and public integrity issues and coordinated university outreach events. Srilakshmidaran also volunteered with Ballotpedia, researching local government candidates to support accurate, nonpartisan voter resources and to strengthen public access to verified election information. In addition to her policy interests, Srilakshmidaran serves as a staff writer for the UT Dallas Undergraduate Law Review, where she has published articles examining online protections for children and labor trafficking within corporate supply chains. Through her research and public service experiences, she has developed strong interests in legal research and human rights advocacy. Upon graduation, Srilakshmidaran plans to attend law school and pursue a career focused on public policy and advocacy.
