Tiziano Cecconato is a senior Collegium V Honors student at The University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in political science with a minor in public affairs. On campus, he served as an active member and mentor for the Model United Nations team, earning writing awards at conferences in Portland and New York City. Cecconato also participated in the School of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences Dean’s Council, working on the Marketing and Outreach Committee. He was a Fall 2025 Initiative for Civic Leadership Fellow, during which he interned in the District Office of U.S. Representative Julie Johnson (TX-32). As a research assistant, he studied the relationship among BRICS members and trends in democratic backsliding. These experiences have shaped his interest in social welfare policy and civil rights. After graduation, he plans to attend law school to advance his career in public policy.
