Vianka Gutierrez is a senior in the Honors College at The University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in political science with minors in criminal justice and in law and legal studies. Her experience centers on law, public policy, and advocacy through leadership roles in Student Government, Girl Up, and the highly competitive Mock Trial team, where she served as captain. As chair of the Legislative Relations Committee in Student Government, Gutierrez worked on initiatives focused on student advocacy and civic engagement. She also served as a research assistant for the Policy Governance Lab, supporting policy research and analysis. Beyond campus, Gutierrez interned at the 342nd District Court, where she conducted legal research. After graduation, she plans to attend law school and pursue a career in international law and public service.
