Alexandra “Allie” Medack is a junior at the University of Texas at Austin where she is majoring in both Plan II Honors and Middle Eastern Studies with a concentration on International Terrorism. While at UT Austin, she has served as the social officer for Kappa Delta sorority and has competed on the University of Texas Speech Team. Prior to her Archer Fellowship, she has interned with political campaigns, state representatives, and a news agency. During her time at Texas, Allie has developed a passion for the Middle East and is working towards becoming fluent in Persian and Arabic and after graduation she hopes to pursue a career dealing with counterterrorism. In Washington, Allie will be interning for the Department of State’s Near Eastern Affairs office.
