Biography
Anna Markowitz is a junior at the University of Texas at Dallas where she is majoring in sociology. She is on the Academic Excellence Scholarship at UTD and has been actively involved with student life. As a Student Ambassador, Anna works closely with the Office of the President. Her other favorite activities include intramurals and working at the community garden. Anna studied abroad in Hong Kong in the fall of 2009. There she spent her time learning about Chinese culture and exploring Asia. She began studying Mandarin and hopes to continue in the future. This spring Anna will be interning at the Health and Human Services Office of Health Reform.
