Jaclyn is a senior at UT Austin majoring in Political Communications and studying Social Inequality, Health, and Policy through the Bridging Disciplines Program. Since her sophomore year, she has been on staff at The Austin Stone Community Church as the local missions intern where she connects college students and adults to mentoring, volunteering, and other outreach opportunities East Austin neighborhood. Jaclyn has traveled extensively to Sub-Saharan Africa over the last two years and since developed a passion for issues related to economic development, HIV/AIDS, education, and women’s empowerment. Upon graduating in May, she will join Teach For America as a corps member in the Mississippi Delta. In D.C., Jaclyn will be the Government Relations Intern for International Justice Mission.
