Biography
Nadia is a senior The University of Texas Pan American majoring in journalism with minors in women’s studies and art. Her career in journalism began at the age of 16 as a freelance reporter for the San Benito News. She has since been a reporter for five local publications and spent part of the summer as a communication intern for the USDA Forest Service in Albuquerque, NM. While in Washington, she will intern with the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press. After graduation, Nadia hopes to work for an international music publication and serve in the Peace Corps before returning to her community to launch her own magazine and write a book about her family’s history.
