Sarah is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin. She is majoring in Finance and History. Her passion for helping women and girls in developing countries had led her to also pursue a certificate in Non-Profit and Social Entrepreneurship with a focus in international development though the Bridging Disciplines Program. She is an officer of Global Business Brigades, which is a student organization that consults microbusinesses in Panama. Sarah is also active in the Austin community through Community SmartStart. She started a Girl Scout troop at an underprivileged school in Austin, which has now grown to more than 40 girls. Sarah hopes to work in Washington upon graduation and possibly pursue a Masters in public policy. While in D.C., Sarah will be interning with Millennium Challenge Corporation, a government agency that focuses on international development.
