Biography
Yousef Arar is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Biochemistry with a special interest in healthcare and public policy. He plans on attending medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio as part of the MD/MPH program. Yousef has taught underprivileged elementary school students science through the UTeach program. He also volunteered with a pediatric nephrologist and conducted neuroscience research on drosophila. Yousef attended the Clinton Global Initiative University program hosted by UT Austin in February 2009 and has been actively working on an interactive text addressing diabetes education in low socioeconomic areas.
