Biography
Alison Beatty is a junior at The University of Texas at Dallas, where she majors in International Political Economy. She studied abroad for a year in Germany and her dedication to the language flourishes on campus, where she is president of The German Club. With at least working proficiency in French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Chinese, she plans to use her linguistic talents assisting with foreign affairs and international relations. She is thrilled to continue her studies in Washington, D.C. Alison developed and continues to run an on-campus recycling program that has diverted hundreds of pounds of reusable material from landfills. Alison is interning at the U.S. Department of State.
