Aya Hosch is a junior at the University of Texas at Arlington, majoring in Political Science with a double minor in Philosophy and Linguistics. Her academic interests lie in foreign policy and international development. Aya is a Liberal Arts Senator in UTA's Student Congress and a past Public Relations Officer at the Honors College Society. Aya has interned with Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson where she has conducted research for Congressional staff on business disparities and urban transportation. In 2008, Aya was an active volunteer in the Obama presidential campaign conducting Latino, Youth and Faith outreach. Aya has worked on campus as a History, English and Political Science tutor and as an environmental advocate for a non profit organization. Aya enjoys learning about different cultures and has traveled extensively in the Middle East, Europe and South America and will be interning at American Abroad Media.
