Christian Torres-Lopez is a senior at the University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Economics with a minor in Business Administration. As an undergraduate, Christian has performed research on a variety of topics ranging from International Financial Reporting Standards to the economics of religion. He was named a McNair Scholar in 2010, and his research was featured at the 2010 National McNair Conference in Wisconsin. Christian is also a member of the Honors College and has served as the Honors Senator in UTA’s Student Congress. He has also interned at multiple organizations including the City of Arlington, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, and Mission Arlington/Mission Metroplex. Upon graduation, Christian intends to continue his studies and pursue a Ph.D. in economics.
