Biography
Jessica Mendez, a senior at UTSA, transferred from the Alamo Community College District. An Interdisciplinary Studies Major with Minors in Political Science and Legal Studies, Jessica is currently working on a thesis examining litigation loses and education reform. She received the Ray Coleman Jr. Award of Excellence upon completion of UTSA’s Institute for Law and Public Affairs’ Summer Law School Preparation Academy. She is a member of UTSA’s nationally top-ranking policy debate team and a founding member of UTSA’s Multi-Campus Labor Student Syndicate. She hopes to attend law school in the Fall of 2012 and work in policy reform on issues regarding civil rights and social justice.
