Katy Womble is a senior at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), majoring in History with minors in Political Science and Legal Studies. Katy is also an active member of campus life; she founded and served as President for the American Civil Liberties Union Student Chapter of UTSA. For the past six years, Katy has spent her summers developing, organizing, and participating in youth sports programs for mentally disabled children. In 2005, Katy was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs RUSH Thunder Program, which is designed to give kids with cognitive and physical disabilities a chance to have fun through the game of soccer. After she graduates in May, Katy plans to attend law school where she will specialize in health law.
