Murtuza Hussain is a senior at the University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Accounting with a minor in Legal Studies. He plans to graduate from UTSA with Business Honors, Leadership Honors, and Highest Honors. Murtuza worked with State Representative Ruth Jones McClendon during the 82nd Texas Legislative Session through the UTSA Legislative Scholars Program as her Appropriations Committee staffer. He is currently working as an Academic Tutor for the Athletics Department at UTSA. For the past three years, Murtuza has been heavily involved in For The Kids Dance Marathon at UTSA, a student organization that aims to provide emotional and financial support for the children battling childhood cancer at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Children’s Hospital and their families. While in Washington, Murtuza will work for Housing Policy Council of the Financial Services Roundtable.
