Biography

Joseph “Wade” Miller is a junior pursuing a Political Science major in the school of Economic, Political and Policy Sciences at The University of Texas at Dallas. Interested in public policy formulation, Wade will be seeking an internship with one of many think tanks in the D.C. area. He is mainly interested in constitutional interpretation and analysis, as well as economic, fiscal, and monetary policy. His future academic aspiration is to attend law school and he has been helping the Innocence Project of Texas in preparation of that goal. Additionally, Wade volunteers for the Lustgarten Foundation which raises money for Pancreatic Cancer research. He also served in the United States Marine Corps and completed three combat deployments as an infantryman and infantry squad leader. Among Wade’s numerous awards is the Humanitarian Service Medal associated with relief efforts in Sri Lanka after the 2004 tsunami. While in Washington, D.C., Wade will be interning at the Heritage Foundation.
