Braeden Mayer is a senior at the University of Texas at Dallas majoring in International Political Economy with a focus in Latin America. He is a recipient of the Eugene McDermott Scholarship, a member of the Collegium V Honors Program, and the Phi Kappa Phi Collegiate Honor Society. As an Archer Fellow, Braeden will be interning with the Marathon Oil Office of Federal Relations. He just finished a fall semester study abroad experience in Nicaragua where he wrote his thesis on the political history of Nicaraguan baseball. On campus, Braeden is involved in a variety of organizations and has held several leadership positions including Secretary of Student Government, Recruitment Chair for the Student Ambassadors, and Pledge Class Vice President for his fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. With a passion for the intersection of the public and private sector, Braeden has worked with the Dallas Regional Chamber of Commerce as their Public Policy Intern and interned twice with Southwest Airlines on their Community Affairs and Grassroots team.
