Daniel Crotty is a junior American studies and English major with minors in law and queer theory at The University of Texas at San Antonio. As a sophomore at UTSA, Daniel co-founded a student chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union and conducted meetings about the intersections of sexuality, gender, race, class, and able-bodiedness in relation to constitutional rights. In addition, he has worked with Unite Here! San Antonio to campaign for hotel workers' rights. While in school, Daniel has also worked as a teaching assistant in the UTSA Department of English. Upon graduating, he plans to pursue a joint degree in law and public policy. This spring, Daniel is interning with Senator Tom Harkin in the labor office of the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.
