Biography
Alisha Patel is currently a senior at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in Sociology Honors, Government, and Liberals Arts Honors with an interdisciplinary certificate in Human Rights and Social Justice. She has been involved with organizations on campus such as Student Government, Texas Orange Jackets, Invisible Children, and Texas Sweethearts, and has had the opportunity to intern within a U.S. Congressman's office and the nonpartisan political research organization Project Vote Smart, as well as volunteer in many other capacities for a host of non-profit organizations. She enjoys politics, foreign affairs, traveling, sports, and music. Alisha will intern at the United Nations Information Centre this spring.
