Biography
Raheel Ata is a junior Eugene McDermott Scholar at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in Biochemistry and is pursuing a career in medicine. He is involved with Student Government and Alpha Epsilon Delta, the pre-health honor society. He also cofounded RISE, an organization that performs interactive science experiments at elementary schools. Raheel has spent three years in research labs and can perform rat neurosurgeries. He has shadowed various doctors and has also interned with Forge Realty, a health real estate firm. This past summer, he studied topics in medical ethics at Oxford. Raheel ultimately wants to bridge medicine, technology, and health policy and will intern at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
