Biography
Marlee Burns is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin and is majoring in Plan II Honors, international relations and Middle Eastern studies. She is interested in Turkish studies, and speaks Turkish. Additionally, in her spare time she is passionate about education reform and education issues. She runs a mentoring program at KIPP Austin, and tutors with Austin Partners in Education. Before becoming an Archer Fellow, she spent the summer in Turkey with a critical language scholarship, and taught with Breakthrough Austin. Marlee would like to pursue a career in international education.
