Biography
Shalaka Joshi is a junior in The University of Texas at Austin’s Plan II Honors Program who is studying government. Having lived abroad and travelled over the years, Shalaka is interested in foreign policy. Shalaka plans to go to graduate school to study public policy and international relations after finishing her undergraduate education at UT Austin. Shalaka has interned for a Texas State Senator and for the nationally recognized non-profit Project Vote Smart in the past. Shalaka is a classically trained singer who performs in her hometown and at UT Austin with Hum A Cappella, the university’s premier South Asian a cappella team.
