Biography
Aysha Khan is a senior at The University of Texas at Dallas majoring in public affairs. She is interested in global development initiatives in the Middle East, with specific concern to women empowerment. She serves as a chairwoman on the state council for IGNITE Texas, advocating for greater female involvement in the political arena. Off campus, she uses her passion for the policy-making process to lobby for legislation that promotes the UN development goals. She studied abroad in Oman through the U.S. Department of State’s Critical Language Scholarship and hopes to return to advance gender equity in the region.
