Biography

Sahare Wazirali is a fourth year student at The University of Texas at Austin studying neuroscience and health policy. After her years in human rights work as Texas Student Activist Coordinator for Amnesty International, Sahare got involved with addiction research at UT Austin and policy work with the University of Texas System to pursue her passion for mental health related rights. Her research focus involves reducing recidivism rates of people suffering from substance abuse. Upon graduation, she will pursue an MD in the hopes of becoming a neurologist and contributing to national health policy discussions.
