Biography
Matthew is a junior McDermott Scholar at The University of Texas at Dallas, studying mathematics with minors in economics and political science. He is active in environmental organizations on campus and is a member of UTD's Men's Club Soccer team. Matt plans to earn a Ph.D. in economics and work with the United Nations on issues related to sustainable development. He loves hiking, playing sports, traveling, and anything that entails being outside (which is why it is so unfortunate that he spends most of his time in the library doing math problems).
