Biography
Michelle is a senior at The University of Texas at Austin, majoring in international relations with concentrations in Middle Eastern studies and Arabic. On-campus, she is involved with the Arabic Flagship Program and Liberal Arts Refugee Alliance. She has previously interned with Austin Independent School District and Interfaith Action of Central Texas. Her interests lie in Middle Eastern politics, Arabic language, and refugee issues. After her semester in Washington, D.C., Michelle plans to spend the following year in Meknes, Morocco with the UT Arabic Flagship Program, and eventually go to graduate school for Middle Eastern studies or political science.
